Once part of a tribe of nomads, Risika has not seen her family in quite some time. But that's a bit too far ahead in the story.
The tribe had been small, two families at most, hardly a tribe in the actual sense. Risika was born the younger of twins, her brother named Natan. For years, the twins only had each other as companionship and they treated each other as equals, until eventually the families returned and joined with a larger tribe and they were introduced to the accepted norm.
Risika remembers very well how she started to drift towards the other little girls, pushing her twin away from her in her attempt to befriend the girls. There was one girl in particular, and soon, Risika and Fala were near inseparable.
Incidentally, it would be this that tore her away from her family. One year there was a particularly bad sand storm, and when Fala insisted in straying away from the group, Risika felt she had no choice bet to follow and make sure her friend didn't get lost.
Despite Risika's efforts, Fala was a headstrong and somewhat brash young woman, and they found themselves the next morning in the middle of the desert with none of the tribe in sight.
Weeks later Risika found herself in Razen, alone. Somewhere in their desert wanderings Fala had made another stupid choice, and for all Risika knows the other girl could very well be dead. But she doesn't care anymore. It was her fault for getting them into this trouble.
So for the last few years, Risika has been traveling on her own, occasionally traveling with groups of semi-nomads when she can talk her way into one, but usually returning to Razen. She currently works in a well-off inn where she's friends with the owner. |

Anything but shy, Risika is still a very tranquil woman, but she is more than willing to bring up her opinion, even if you don't ask for it. Living in Razen has certainly changed her from who she used to be amongst her family: her value in honesty, namely.
But there are things you can't change, and Risika can't help but feel guilty every time she has to lie again, and as such, it's very obvious to tell when she is. |

Standing at barely 4'9", Risika was fortunate enough to inherit a certain amount of proportion to her body so that it hardly looks as if she were short at all. From far away. Really.
She has a very calm demeanor, giving off the simple feeling of "I am me" with a glance. Her skin is a healthy tan shade, setting off her sun bleached blonde hair, which is cut rather haphazardly short with two longer pieces resting against her shoulders. Her smile is an uncommon sight and her laughter rare, but when she does it's pure and full of happiness.
Risika cannot sit idle for long periods at a time, and as such, is almost always up and about trying to work on something, be it cooking, mending, or practicing with the bow. When forced to sit idle, she has the bad habit of self mutilation: she picks at herself, namely her face and hands, leaving tiny scratches and cuts on her skin. |
